If the ShadowProtectSvc will not start on an Agent machine, the usual course is to do a Repair Install, and failing that to use the PSExec utility to reinstall.
If you do not have success with that, you may rename the backuphistory.dat file in the \Prog Files\StorageCraft\Logs folder to backuphistory.old and attempt to start the service.
