VirtualBox - Disk Issues v 4.3.12 - Volumes appear as single disk on VM




NOTE: This only applies to VirtualBox version 4.3.12 and earlier. (Only ShadowProtect compatible versions of VBox are considered. After 4.3.12 for ShadowProtect 5.x; VBox goes to 5.1.10 for SPX.)

In certain VirtualBoot scenarios, you may have an issue where multiple volumes appear as a single disk with multiple partitions. (Data may or may not be represented correctly or even available.)

The answer to this issue is to do the following:

- Exclude the SRP (System Reserved partition) from the disks in the VM upon creation
- On the Options screen in the VirtualBoot process;
-- Click Advanced
-- Check the Box marked "Import only One Volume per hard disk drive within the virtual machine.
